Overwatch squad finishes 8th in the Nation at the Collegiate Esports Commissioner's Cup in Texas
The Valorant squad of the Esports team traveled to Texas this passed weekend finishing 8th in the country!
The team started in the group stage needing to win two matches (best of 5 series) to make the playoffs:
Game 1 vs Ball St. = Win, 3-1
Game 2 vs Illinois St. = Loss, 0-3
As a result of the loss, the team was placed in the losers bracket with one more shot to make it to the playoffs where they would face earlier foe Ball St., but this time it was on the center stage. It came down to one final game in a winner take all where the Bobcats would take the victory.
Game 3 vs Ball St. = Win, 3-2
After the conclusion of day 1 the team would move on to day 2 to face one of the top teams, Fisher College.
Game 4 vs Fisher College = Loss, 3-0
In the end the team fought hard but there efforts weren't enough. The overall score is unforgiving as all three matches were extremely close with the Bobcats coming up just short each time.
With the eleimination the team was named 8th overall in Overwacth.
