Bobcats Refuse to Lose, Go 2-0 vs Louisburg College

The Bryant & Stratton Bobcats snagged a late lead and defeated Hurricanes 2-1 on Sunday in game one of the day.

The game was tied at one with the Bobcats batting in the bottom of the sixth when #43 Ryland Brown singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. The pitching was strong on both sides, the Bobcats pitchers struck out eight, while Hurricanes pitchers sat down seven.

#3 Kevin Caceres started the game for the Bobcats, went five innings, allowing zero runs on one hit and striking out six. The Bobcats racked up five hits and one home run in the game. #43 Brown and #45 Steven Rodriguez both managed to have multiple hits for the Bobcats & they also each collected two hits to lead the Bobcats. #12 Darian Fumero was credited with the victory for The Bobcats, lasting one inning, allowing zero hits and one run while striking out one. #1 Jody Luis Otero threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

The Bobcats grabbed an early lead on their way to a 6-3 victory over Hurricanes on Sunday in game two of the day. 

The Bobcats scored on a single by #11 Dante De Jesus, an error, a single by #4 Juan Mejias, and a groundout by #45 Steven Rodriguez in the second inning. After the Hurricanes scored one run in the top of the fourth, the Bobcats answered with one of their own when #24 Carlos Miranda hit a solo homer. #24 Miranda also led the Bobcats with two hits in three at bats and the Bobcats pulled away for good with four runs in the second inning.

#13 Devin Hicks started the game for The Bobcats, the pitcher surrendered one run on two hits over two innings, striking out two. #10 Daniel Dietrich Jr was credited with the victory for the Bobcats allowing three hits and one run over three and a third innings, striking out four. #35 Deven Shepard and #9 Sebastian Pagan entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief while #9 Pagan recorded the last out to earn the save for the Bobcats.
