Bio

Richard Morris brings a wealth of experience from the high school, collegiate, and professional levels.

Coach Morris is a former coach of the Sussex Skyhawks (NJ) in the Canadian-American League, the Pensacola Pelicans (FL) in the American Association, and field manager/player procurement director for the Continental League (TX).

He has also served as a professional scout with the New York Yankees, Tampa Bay Rays, and Atlanta Braves.  He coached the East team in the USA Olympic Festival in Boise, Idaho, to a “GOLD” medal.

Richard was also the head coach at Roanoke College (ODAC), leading the Maroons to their first post-season appearance.  He was named “Coach of the Year” during his tenure at both Rustburg High School (Rustburg, VA) and E.C. Glass High School (Lynchburg, VA). 

In addition he was head coach of the Central Team in the Commonwealth Games of Virginia and was on-field director for Jeff

Spelman's Team One National Showcases in Ohio, Florida, and Arizona.
