Late Push Falls Just Short in Road Battle at Forsyth Tech
An early back-and-forth rhythm set the tone Saturday as the Bryant & Stratton (VA) College Bobcats traded baskets with Forsyth Technical Community College. The hosts built momentum midway through the first half, creating separation at the free-throw line and carrying a 41–33 advantage into the break.
The second half saw a determined response. Defensive pressure tightened, and transition opportunities helped chip away at the deficit. Travis Hamilton sparked the offense with aggressive drives and steady free-throw shooting, while key stops trimmed the margin possession by possession. A late surge flipped the pressure onto Forsyth Tech, but crucial free throws in the closing moments proved decisive in a narrow finish.
Hamilton led the way with 20 points and six assists off the bench, going a perfect 7-for-7 from the line. Jalen Milt added 14 points and seven rebounds, while Kylan Clark contributed 11 points. Caleb Jackson anchored the glass with 11 rebounds as the Bobcats out rebounded their opponent 42–35. Despite the second-half push, Bryant & Stratton came up just short in a 76–74 contest.
