Game one:
The Bryant & Stratton College Bobcats fell to Gaston College, 9–1, in game one, with Gaston breaking the game open with five runs in the fifth inning. The Bobcats struck first in the top of the first when Berry Rosychuk delivered an RBI single to put Bryant & Stratton ahead early. Gaston answered in the bottom of the inning, using a walk to even the score at 1–1.
Gaston moved in front in the second on a groundout that brought in a run, then extended the lead to 3–1 with an RBI double in the third. The turning point came in the bottom of the fifth, as Gaston capitalized on four hits to score five runs and create separation heading into the late innings.
Jada Kezema got the start for the Bobcats, working 4.1 innings and allowing eight runs (six earned) while striking out two. Rosychuk paced Bryant & Stratton at the plate, going 1-for-2 with the team's lone RBI. The Bobcats were aggressive on the base paths with four stolen bases and turned a double play defensively.
Game two:
The Bryant & Stratton College Bobcats dropped a 13–3 decision to Gaston College in game two, losing the series 2-0. Bryant & Stratton jumped out to an early lead much like in game one but when Aurora Kennedy delivered a RBI single to score the game's first run. Gaston answered in the bottom of the inning, capitalizing on a Bobcat error along with an RBI triple and an RBI single to move ahead, 3–1.
The Bobcats responded in the top of the second to tie the game at three, using an error and a Kennedy groundout to bring runs across the plate. Gaston quickly regained momentum in the bottom of the inning, scoring five runs on six hits to build an 8–3 advantage. The hosts added to the lead in the third with a solo home run, creating separation that held for the remainder of the contest.
Bryleigh Thomas made the start for Bryant & Stratton College, working 1.2 innings and allowing eight runs, seven of which were earned. Offensively, Mckenzye Boblitt and Kennedy each collected a hit, with Kennedy driving in a run for the Bobcats. Natalie Brown and Emerson McAllister each swiped multiple bases as Bryant & Stratton finished with four stolen bases and turned a double play defensively.
