1-1 Split for the Bobcats as They Take Game One Over the Dolphins
Game One:
The Bobcats wasted no time setting the tone, erupting for a massive first inning that immediately put Catawba Valley on its heels. Bryant & Stratton strung together hit after hit, taking advantage of early opportunities to build a commanding lead before the Red Hawks could settle in.
The offense stayed aggressive throughout, continuing to apply pressure in the fourth inning. Timely hitting once again fueled the surge, as the Bobcats added five more runs behind extra-base power and clutch situational hitting to extend the margin.
Bryant & Stratton closed things out in dominant fashion, securing a 13-0 run-rule victory behind a complete performance on both sides.
Evangaline Destito led the charge at the plate with a perfect 3-for-3 outing and three RBI, while Mckenzye Boblitt added two hits and two RBI. Emerson McAllister contributed a pair of hits, including a double, driving in two runs, and Alondra Rivera-Maldonado and Julia Guerra each added two RBI. Aurora Kennedy chipped in with a hit and an RBI, while Kiaya Lewis drove in a run and reached base. In the circle, Jada Kezema was outstanding, tossing a complete-game two-hitter while striking out five to keep Catawba Valley off the board.
Game Two:
Bryant & Stratton once again came out firing, delivering another explosive first inning to seize early control. The Bobcats capitalized on consistent contact and aggressive baserunning, piling up runs and forcing Catawba Valley to play from behind from the opening frame.
The offense remained steady as the game progressed, adding on in the third and continuing to pressure the defense. While Catawba Valley found some life late with a fifth-inning push, the Bobcats answered to maintain control and keep the momentum firmly in their favor.
Bryant & Stratton finished off the sweep with a 12-4 victory, completing a dominant day at the plate.
Kiaya Lewis had a standout performance, going 3-for-3 with a triple, double, and two RBI while scoring three times. Evangaline Destito stayed hot with three hits and four RBI, and Berry Rosychuk reached base consistently, scoring three runs and driving in another. Ava Hohenadel added two hits, while Mckenzye Boblitt drove in two runs. Aurora Kennedy contributed a double and an RBI, and Julia Guerra finished with two hits and an RBI. In the circle, Jada Kezema earned the win, striking out key batters across 4.2 innings, while Presley Junell closed out the final outs to seal the victory.
