Lady Bobcats Stun Louisburg, Securing First Win in Program History Over the Hurricanes
Game One:
Bryant & Stratton College battled from the start against Louisburg College, matching early energy and responding after surrendering a first-inning run. The Bobcats answered immediately, then regrouped after Louisburg added on in the second to briefly take control.
The momentum shifted in the middle innings as Bryant & Stratton's offense found its rhythm. A three-run third inning put the Bobcats back in front, and they followed it up with a four-run fourth inning fueled by extra-base hits and timely execution throughout the lineup.
Bryant & Stratton College secured a 9-7 victory, holding off a late push from Louisburg to close out a statement win. The victory marked the first win over Louisburg College in program history and handed Louisburg its first conference loss of the season.
Berry Rosychuk led the offense with two hits, reaching base three times and scoring three runs. Ava Hohenadel delivered a standout performance with three doubles and three RBI, consistently driving in key runs. Aurora Kennedy added two hits, including a double, and drove in two, while Evangaline Destito contributed a clutch two-RBI double. Natalie Brown chipped in with an RBI hit, and Emerson McAllister and Kaylie Kellerby each scored and applied pressure on the bases.
In the circle, Hilary Stevenson went the distance, working through traffic to earn the win while striking out five over seven innings.
Game Two:
Bryant & Stratton College opened the game by matching Louisburg College early, answering a first-inning run with one of their own to keep things even. The Bobcats showed flashes offensively in the early innings, looking to build on momentum from the previous matchup.
Louisburg began to take control in the second inning, stringing together hits and capitalizing on opportunities to create separation. Bryant & Stratton responded briefly in the third with a two-run home run to stay within reach, but Louisburg continued to apply pressure with consistent offense across multiple innings.
Louisburg pulled away for a 19-3 result, using big innings in the middle frames to create distance despite early efforts from the Bobcats.
Emerson McAllister led Bryant & Stratton with two hits and a run scored, while Evangaline Destito added two hits and an RBI. Ava Hohenadel provided the biggest swing of the day with a two-run home run, accounting for a majority of the Bobcats' offense. Natalie Brown also contributed with a hit, and the team worked to generate opportunities throughout the lineup.
