A 1-1 Finish on the Day to Start a Month Long Road Trip for the Bobcats

Game One:

Bryant & Stratton College faced early adversity on the road against WVU Potomac State College, surrendering two runs in the opening inning. The Bobcats settled in defensively after the first, keeping the game within reach while searching for an offensive spark.

That spark came in the middle innings, as Bryant & Stratton capitalized on opportunities in the fourth. Taking advantage of defensive miscues, the Bobcats pushed across three runs to flip the momentum and take the lead. They continued to build in the fifth, using a key extra-base swing to create separation.

Bryant & Stratton College secured a 5-3 victory, using timely hitting and strong pitching to complete the comeback and close out the game.

Scarlett Cuevas delivered a clutch moment with a two-RBI single in the fourth, while Ava Hohenadel provided the biggest swing with a two-run home run in the fifth. Evangaline Destito led the team with two hits and scored twice, and Kiaya Lewis added a hit and a run while creating pressure on the bases. Emerson McAllister also contributed with a hit and aggressive baserunning.

Momentum shifted in the fourth inning as WVU Potomac State capitalized on opportunities, putting together a big inning to take control despite the Bobcats' early advantage.

WVU Potomac State secured a 13-7 result, overcoming Bryant & Stratton's fast start with a decisive surge in the middle innings.

Natalie Brown led the Bobcats offensively with two hits and four RBI, delivering key swings in both the first and fifth innings. Evangaline Destito added two hits and drove in two runs, while Ava Hohenadel recorded a pair of hits, including a double. Aurora Kennedy contributed two hits and an RBI, and Emerson McAllister added a hit while setting the tone early.

In the circle, Jada Kezema and Sophia Elderbaum split time, combining for six innings while working through a challenging stretch against a persistent WVU Potomac State lineup.
