Lady Bobcats season Comes to a Close in Round Two of Conference Playoffs

Game 1 vs. Richard Bland College
Bryant & Stratton opened postseason play battling early, striking first in the opening inning when Evangaline Destito drove home Emerson McAllister to give the Bobcats a quick lead. Richard Bland answered immediately and slowly created separation through the middle innings, capitalizing on timely extra-base hits and a two-run homer from Samantha Barbe. Destito led the offense with two hits while Mckenzye Boblitt and Natalie Brown each added base knocks, but the Bobcats were limited to just four total hits in the 6-1 loss.

Despite the setback, Bryant & Stratton continued to compete throughout the game as Presley Junell, Sophia Elderbaum, and Jada Kezema combined efforts in the circle to close out the contest. McAllister added a stolen base while the defense worked through multiple pressure situations against a strong Richard Bland lineup. The loss pushed the Bobcats into the elimination bracket, setting up a must-win matchup the following day.

Game 2 vs. Catawba Valley Community College
Facing elimination, Bryant & Stratton responded with one of its most complete performances of the postseason, defeating Catawba Valley 4-1 to keep the season alive. Emerson McAllister sparked the offense with two hits and three stolen bases, while Mckenzye Boblitt delivered an RBI single and Kiaya Lewis provided the biggest swing of the day with a solo home run in the sixth inning. The Bobcats scored early with two runs in the first inning and never surrendered control.

Hilary Stevenson was dominant in the circle, tossing a complete-game two-hitter while allowing just one run and striking out five. The defense backed her throughout the afternoon as Bryant & Stratton held Catawba Valley to only two hits across seven innings. With the victory, the Bobcats advanced deeper into the losers bracket and earned another matchup with Richard Bland College later that evening.

Game 3 vs. Richard Bland College
Bryant & Stratton's season came to a close Friday night in a 6-3 loss to Richard Bland College in the double-elimination tournament. The Bobcats grabbed an early lead when Berry Rosychuk doubled home Emerson McAllister in the first inning, but a six-run second inning by Richard Bland proved to be the difference. Aurora Kennedy and Kiaya Lewis helped fuel a fourth-inning rally with back-to-back extra-base hits, cutting the deficit to three and giving the Bobcats momentum midway through the game.

Rosychuk finished with two hits while Kennedy and Lewis each delivered RBI extra-base hits in the season finale. After a difficult second inning, Sophia Elderbaum and Hilary Stevenson combined to hold Richard Bland scoreless over the final four innings, giving Bryant & Stratton opportunities to climb back into the contest. The loss brought the curtain down on a season that featured major program growth, signature conference victories, and a resilient postseason push that showcased the fight and progress of the Bobcats throughout the spring.
