Lady Bobcats Win a close one, Win Streak now at 13

The Bryant & Stratton Lady Bobcats were back in action against The Guilford Tech Community College Titans in Jamestown, NC.

The first quarter was the best scoring quarter and both teams would start the game of exchanging baskets with the Bobcats trying to create some distance but only able to find themselves taking a five-point lead at the end of the first quarter (23-18).

The Lady Bobcats would keep the lead going into the half up six (35-29) which would be their largest lead in this contest. The second half of the game was extremely close and we saw the Titans grab their first led of the night late in the fourth quarter. However the Lady Bobcats made the correct adjustments & necessary plays as they seem to have done all year when needed down the scratch to come up with the win (61-57) against a very tough opponent in the Titans. The Bobcats improve their record to (14-1, 9-0 in the conference) as well as their win streak to 13 consecutive games.

#5 Jocelyne Myers would lead the way in what was a very efficient night for her (10-12 from the field) with 23pts, 5stl and #15 Shikira Perry would add 17pts of her own while #4 Ashanti Broughton finished with 9pts, 10reb & 8ast. The Lady Bobcats will play this Saturday at Catawba Valley College at 1:00pm. Then come home to play Potomac College at 2:00pm Sunday.
