Lady Bobcats Cruise to Victory Over College of Southern Maryland
The Bryant & Stratton Bobcats traveled on the road to face a non-conference opponent in the College of Southern Maryland Hawks on Monday night.
The Bobcats held control of this one the whole way as they positioned themselves into a 5pt first quarter lead, followed by an 11pt lead at halftime.
In the 3rd quarter, the Hawks attempted to mount a comeback, cutting their deficit to just 8pts. However, in the 4th quarter the Bobcats would finish the game by putting up 21pts to the Hawks 13pts bringing the game to a conclusion and giving the Bobcats the (60-44) Victory.
The Bobcats were led by #4 Rakyla Jones with 13pts, 7reb, 3stl (game-high) & #31 Latanya Berry with 12pts, 10reb her 4th double- double of the season.
Next up for the Bobcats (6-1) they will travel to Southwest Virginia Community College to face the Flying Eagles (5-1) in a conference show down as the race for the top spot continues.
