Bobcats Fall Short in 5th Set Playoff Thriller to Louisburg
The #6 Bryant & Stratton Bobcats hosted the #11 Louisburg Hurricanes in round one of the Playoffs on Tuesday night.
The Bobcats walked into the matchup coming off a win & having defeated the Hurricanes earlier in the year but both teams were very different from the point of when they last played.
Things appeared to be going great for the Bobcats as they were able to win set one (25-18) solidly, that was until the Hurricanes managed to steel set 2 (21-25) & set 3 (21-25) and completely take the momentum of the game to their side. With the Bobcats season on the line, they had to dig deep to force a 5th set & fortunately they were able to do just that by a score of (25-18).
The final set was neck in neck until the teams were tied at 13 & the Hurricanes were able to collect the last last 2 points, handing the Bobcats the loss (13-15).
The defeat brings the Bobcats court season to an end as the ones who participate in both will look to prepare for the Beach Volleyball season to come.
