Davidson-Davie Outpaces Bryant & Stratton in High-Scoring Battle
The Bryant & Stratton College (VA) Bobcats put up a strong fight on their home floor, but a powerful offensive performance from the Davidson-Davie Community College Storm led to a 95–78 final. Davidson-Davie built early momentum with a 46-36 halftime lead and maintained pace throughout, shooting an efficient 55.6% from the field and 47.1% from three. Their balanced attack and high-energy transitions kept the Bobcats playing from behind despite several scoring surges.
Davidson-Davie was fueled by Conall Lowry's standout 34-point performance on 10-of-16 shooting, paired with a near-double-double from Tayvion Tangiora, who added 22 points and nine rebounds. Strong ball movement and control were key factors, with the Storm recording 17 assists and hitting 17 of their 20 free-throw attempts. Their ability to protect possessions and convert consistently inside made the difference down the stretch.
Bryant & Stratton's offense was led by Jalen Milt's explosive 31-point night, including an 11-for-13 showing from the free-throw line. Mikel Chappell added 17 off the bench, providing a much-needed spark. However, the Bobcats struggled to match Davidson-Davie's efficiency, shooting 42.4% from the floor and 30% from deep while committing 17 turnovers. Despite strong individual outings, Bryant & Stratton couldn't slow down Davidson-Davie's high-powered scoring attack.
