Bobcats Outduel Catawba Valley in 102–99 Offensive Shootout
The Bryant & Stratton College (VA) Bobcats survived a high-scoring battle to secure a 102–99 victory over Catawba Valley Community College, using late composure and efficiency at the free-throw line to edge out the Red Hawks. The Bobcats shot 48.4% from the field and an impressive 80% at the foul line, converting 36 free throws to counter Catawba Valley's balanced scoring attack.
Jalen Milt led all scorers with a dominant 28-point performance, knocking down 15 free throws while adding six rebounds and a block. Azaiah Thompson followed with 19 points and seven rebounds, while Elijah Mendoza provided strong interior play with 8 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Off the bench, Travis Hamilton contributed 12 points, 4 assists, and 4 steals, and Kashawn Cordes added 11 points and 7 rebounds, helping the Bobcats win the rebounding battle 42–43 in a tightly contested matchup.
Despite Catawba Valley placing three players over 20 points, Bryant & Stratton's depth, ball movement (18 assists), and ability to capitalize at the stripe proved to be the deciding factors. The Bobcats' offensive balance and late-game execution sealed the win in one of their most competitive tests of the season.
