Upset Complete as the Bobcats Shock #17 Davidson-Davie
The Bryant & Stratton College (VA) Bobcats earned a statement 77–70 road victory over No. 17 Davidson-Davie Community College, snapping a long drought in the series. The win marked BSC's first triumph over Davidson-Davie since the 2018–19 season and delivered a major shakeup in the conference race. After trailing 32–29 at halftime, the Bobcats erupted for 48 second-half points, flipping the momentum against the nationally ranked Storm and closing strong down the stretch.
Jalen Milt powered the comeback with a dominant 24-point, 13-rebound performance, controlling the paint on both ends while shooting 9-of-14 from the field. Johntez Raspberry added 11 points, and Mikel Chappell provided a spark off the bench with 10, including a perfect 5-of-6 effort at the foul line. Bryant & Stratton's interior presence proved decisive, as they outshot Davidson-Davie 42.9 percent to 33.8 percent and swatted nine total shots. Despite hitting 10 three-pointers, the Storm struggled to find consistent offense inside.
The difference ultimately came in the second half, where BSC's defensive pressure forced 17 turnovers and limited Davidson-Davie's efficiency in key possessions. The Bobcats also dominated the glass with 40 rebounds and converted 26 free throws, capitalizing on late opportunities to seal the win. With the upset of the 17th-ranked Storm, the Bobcats have positioned themselves firmly in the conference title hunt and if BSC wins out the remainder of its schedule, the Bobcats will claim the conference championship outright for the first time in program history.
