#20 Lady Bobcats Outlast Rival Cape Fear, Improve to 6-0
The Bryant & Stratton College (VA) Lady Bobcats earned a hard-fought 60–55 victory over longtime rival in the Cape Fear Community College Sea Devils, pulling away late behind balanced scoring and strong defensive execution. After trailing 18–15 in the first quarter, the Bobcats regrouped to win the next three periods, using a 17-point second quarter to take control and maintain their edge the rest of the way.
Sian Lewin continued her standout play, leading the Bobcats with 18 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, and three steals in a complete all-around performance. Myla Parker was electric from deep, knocking down four threes on her way to 16 points and eight rebounds. Carissa Frederick anchored the interior with a 10-rebound effort while adding eight points, and Hailey Harris chipped in eight points and five rebounds. Off the bench, Sanai Johnson provided a needed spark with six points and two assists.
The rivalry intensity was felt throughout, with both teams trading momentum and making defensive stands. But the Bobcats' depth and composure proved the difference as they outrebounded the Sea Devils 38–23 and posted 19 assists on 23 made shots. With timely shooting, disciplined defense, and clutch playmaking down the stretch, Bryant & Stratton secured a meaningful win over a familiar opponent, extending their strong run of form.
