#17 Bobcats Outlast Southwest Virginia, Stay Perfect with 65–48 Road Win
The No. 17 Bryant & Stratton College (VA) Lady Bobcats continued their undefeated run with a strong defensive showing in a 65–48 victory over the Southwest Virginia Flying Eagles. The Bobcats controlled the first half with a 26–21 lead, then used a dominant fourth quarter to put the game away, holding Southwest Virginia to just 7 points in the final frame.
Sian Lewin once again led the charge with an impressive 28 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals, knocking down five threes and powering the offense. Janiyaha Pickett added 12 points, 5 rebounds, and a team-high 8 assists, while Carissa Frederick delivered 12 points on an efficient 6-of-9 shooting. Hailey Harris controlled the glass with 11 rebounds, and Myla Parker chipped in 8 boards of her own as BSC outrebounded Southwest Virginia 44–23. The Bobcats' ball movement (18 assists) and defensive pressure (only 10 opponent FGs in the second half) proved to be the difference.
With the win, Bryant & Stratton improves to 10-0 overall and 6-0 in conference play. Up next, the Bobcats prepare for a marquee matchup against the 8-0 Cleveland CC Yetis also undefeated in coference at 6-0, with both teams battling for sole possession of first place in the conference.
