#16 Bobcats Shine on Sophomore Night with Dominant Win
The Bryant & Stratton (VA) College Bobcats celebrated Sophomore Night, in dominant fashion Saturday with a 92–51 victory over Southwest Virginia. Honoring their second-year student-athletes, the No. 16 Bobcats delivered one of their most complete performances of the season in front of the home crowd.
Bryant & Stratton wasted no time setting the tone, exploding to a 26–7 first-quarter lead and carrying a commanding 50–18 advantage into halftime. The Bobcats were highly efficient offensively, shooting an outstanding 70 percent from the field, 55.6 percent from three-point range, and 80 percent from the free-throw line.
Sian Lewin led the charge with a game-high 28 points, adding 5 steals, 4 assists, and 2 blocks in a standout performance. Hailey Harris contributed 15 points, while Sanai Johnson provided a spark off the bench with 12 points on a perfect 4-for-4 shooting night. Carissa Frederick added 10 points, and Janiyaha Pickett filled the stat sheet with 8 points, 9 assists, and 6 rebounds.
The Bobcats showcased their depth and unselfish play, finishing with 26 assists on 35 made field goals and dominated the rebounding battle collecting 40.
On a night dedicated to celebrating their sophomores, Bryant & Stratton delivered a performance worthy of the occasion, continuing their strong push as the postseason approaches.
