Balanced Effort Carries #20 Bobcats Through Four-Quarter Battle
An early rhythm on both ends helped set the tone Wednesday night as Richard Bland College opened aggressively, but sharp execution in the opening minutes allowed the home side to establish control. A 24-point first quarter created separation, and defensive pressure in the second limited Richard Bland to just 12 points, sending Bryant & Stratton College (VA) into the break with a 42–31 advantage.
The third quarter featured some of the game's cleanest basketball. Crisp ball movement and efficient scoring extended the margin, with the Bobcats shooting at a high clip and consistently finding the open player. Richard Bland answered in the fourth behind perimeter shooting and second-chance opportunities, trimming the deficit and forcing a competitive finish. Composure in the final minutes, however, preserved the lead.
Sian Lewin delivered a dominant all-around performance with 31 points on 14-of-17 shooting while dishing out 10 assists. Hailey Harris added a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, and Myla Parker contributed seven points and eight boards. Jordan Moore provided eight points and seven rebounds off the bench, while Sanai Johnson tallied seven assists. Bryant & Stratton shot 60 percent from the field and assisted on 30 of 33 made baskets in the 79–74 victory.
