Fast Start Carries #15 Bobcats Past Louisburg
A dominant opening quarter set the tone Tuesday night as the Bryant & Stratton (VA) College Bobcats jumped out to an early lead against Louisburg College. Strong defensive pressure limited the visitors to just five points in the opening frame while the Bobcats built an 18–5 advantage to take early control.
Momentum continued into the second quarter as the offense found a rhythm in the half court. Efficient shooting and strong work on the glass helped extend the lead to 39–25 heading into halftime. Louisburg responded after the break, stringing together scoring runs in both the third and fourth quarters, but the early cushion proved enough to hold off the late push.
Sian Lewin led the way with 23 points and 10 rebounds, adding five assists in an all-around performance. Carissa Frederick added 18 points and 10 rebounds of her own for a double-double, while Myla Parker contributed eight points and seven assists. The Bobcats shot an efficient 63.6 percent from the field and controlled the boards 45–0 to secure the 70–65 victory.
